This tree is thriving because it is planted in a good place, its roots fed by streams of life-giving water.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p>Like the tree in Psalm 1, IFES is intentionally rooted in God\u2019s word. Our hope for the years ahead is that, as we continue to draw from these life-giving roots, God will help us to thrive together as a global fellowship.<\/p>\n<\/div><cite><em>Tim Adams, IFES General Secretary&nbsp;<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-group alignfull\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group alignfull has-white-dark-background-color has-background\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p class=\"has-md-font-size\">The Thriving Together strategy emerged after more than two years of listening \u2013 to students, staff, theological advisors, research students, faculty, and our supporters and partners. The priorities and objectives are an invitation to fellowship and partnership as we work together.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p>We trust national movements will be able to see connections between their own plans and the work of the wider network of which they are part. We will exchange ideas, resources, and experiences to help us&nbsp;<br>live out our calling&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-heading\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"new-ways\">New Ways&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p>We will seek to grow in new ways and in new spaces. We will give space to try new ideas and&nbsp;<br>show creativity in our ministry and organisational practices.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-heading\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"impact\">Impact<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p>&nbsp;We are partakers of God\u2019s kingdom work, seeking to bring impact in the depth of&nbsp;<br>transformations in the lives of students and graduates and in the breadth of our ministries in&nbsp;<br>reaching students.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-heading\">\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\" see: students as witnesses to Jesus Christ, proclaiming the kingdom of God and&nbsp;<br>showing the relevance of Jesus to all areas of university life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"wp-block block-core-heading\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\" class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"strategy-background\">STRATEGY BACKGROUND&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p>As the prior strategy, Living Stones, reached its conclusion, we conducted workshops on the strategy and direction for IFES at World Assembly 2019. After that, a Strategy Working Group spent two years gathering\u202finput\u202ffrom students, staff, and donors\u202fin order to\u202funderstand\u202fthe context\u202fand needs\u202fof our ministry across the world.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p>The senior leadership of IFES then took time to consider, discuss, and pray over these findings, ultimately developing a vision which is rooted in Christ and in Scripture, with a heart for our campuses.\u202f\u202f&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p>We shared the draft vision with IFES staff and national movements in summer 2021, and then received their feedback. The final version of Thriving Together launched in February 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p>The following reports&nbsp;summarise&nbsp;the findings from various research and consultations which have shaped the new strategy. These&nbsp;are rich resources for understanding your own local ministry in global context, so please read and enjoy!<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ifesworld.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Strategy-Overview-NM-Priorities.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>National&nbsp;movement priorities<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp;\u2013 Discover what national movements reported their most important priorities to be. This feedback was used to inform the new strategy.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ifesworld.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Strategy-Overview-SWOR.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>SWOR&nbsp;overview<\/strong><\/a><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>&#8211; IFES conducted a SWOR analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities,&nbsp;Risks) among multiple stakeholders within the organization. Read an overview of their feedback using this model of evaluation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block block-core-paragraph\">\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ifesworld.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/4.2-Theological-advisors-External-Stakeholders-Report-V2.pdf\">Input from theological advisors<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>\u2013 We consulted various theological advisors during the process of setting strategy.
